Story Holder Workshop

“I am not used to studying the subject as I am always seen to be the subject. By participating in Our Race workshops I feel more confident to navigate this space and control my own narrative, and tell my story, my way.”

- Story Holder and Workshop participant

Join us for the very last public workshops of the year!

These workshops are for Story Holders who have historically been excluded, often having their Stories exploited and commodified for an organisation's benefit.

In these workshops, we equip Story Holders with knowledge and tools to better advocate for creative control and ownership of their Stories.

These programs are always free of charge for Story Holders as we believe it is the responsibility of organisations working with Story Holders to resource the communities they work with.

Hosted by a range of experts in their professional fields, the workshops will be a series of providing guidance, resources and skills development workshops for Story Holders.

Dates/Time:

Thursday 5th December 4pm - 6pm

Workshop topics:

  • Understanding your legal rights of your Story and looking out for extractors and interpreters

  • Taking control of your Story and working with Story Partners

  • Creating power in your Story by setting boundaries and taking ownership* Advocating for your Story and others
